America's Sweethearts Vol. 2

I just wanted to add my thoughts on Linde's America's Sweethearts post. I may have only seen one episode of this show (I know, I know) but I totally adored it, due partially to the addition of Adam Scott to the cast. Adam Scott manages to show extreme sass both in Parks & Rec AND his Starz show Party Down. Check it out:

America's Sweethearts

A show that I find consistently hilarious is Parks and Recreation. Though I had a soft spot for it even in its first season, I'm really impressed with the way it turned around and really fleshed out some characters in the second. The show also features many crush-worthy and sassy comedians.

Aubrey Plaza is a NATIONAL TREASURE. Seriously, her expressions kill me. Whether she's clowning on Jerry or lovelorn over Andy, her sideways glances convey optimum sass. She's also a Tara doppelganger, which makes her even better.

Parks also features my favorite comedian, Aziz Ansari. Luckily, my brother and I got to check out his Dangerously Delicious tour in Chicago. It was surreal to be so close to someone who simultaneously cracks you up and makes you wanna holler. Besides the jokes being 'DOPE' I have to give the man serious props for his amazing suit - Band of Outsiders? This sharply dressed dude is the epitome of sass. Check out that pout and neck jutting.
Some natural history museum taxidermy-chic (BEARS!) never hurts the sassy/smoldering look either.

We Are the Champions!

Well, not quite yet, but let's celebrate the awesome US soccer/football victory, which happened in the epitome of team sports movie fashion.

Forgive the nationalism and the gushing, but we have a good looking team. I think soccer players are the athletes I find the most attractive - had crushes on them since I was a kid, and definitely wanted to be good at the sport back in middle school. Sadly, I was never that great, but I have thoroughly enjoyed getting back in the spirit watching the World Cup this summer.

But getting to the point - beyond being impressive as players, these dudes are sexy AND sassy.

Case in point, Landon Donovan - who has saved the team a few times in the past few games with some choice goals.

Thanks to Jillian for sharing this amazing photo. The sideways glance, pout, raised eyebrows - Classic Soccer Sass, also he's gripping the water fountain a little too hard...and I like that.

Jozy Altidore (THE BEST) shows his sass on the field.

While, my current crush, Clint Dempsey (Who could be brotherhood?! - i.e. cousin named, Arya Ashtari) has got skillz that rival other athletes turned rappers (Go to 2:38 to see the freestyle).

But sometimes sass isn't quite in your face. Confident Tim Howard exudes sass in how he protects that goal.
Though pouting, tats, and being all dirty/oily/hot c/o of an Interview photo shoot doesn't hurt. either. Check that video out, it's the best counter to those behind-the-scenes vids they do for cover girls in Complex magazine. In any case, I'll be rooting for them in the tournament and will keep loving the sass these players bring on and off the field.
