Thank You for Being a Friend
Sorry it's been more than a month now. We've left you hanging, but thanks for sticking through. This past Saturday, the much-beloved Bea Arthur passed away. I was terribly upset! Thanks to Jillian though, I can pay some respect to her and be back on my sassy grind, because Bea truly was a classic.
She has some finely sculpted brows and that great sideways glance, plus I love how she uses her chin! Take 2!
Yep, the lady's got it! And nothing says sassy like a girl who can be a friend on and off-screen, and knows how to affirm you but tell it to you straight: Girl, fix your face!
She's a total gem and stunna, and she's fierce, stylish, and definitely sassy.
She will be greatly missed, but hopefully we can take from what she had to offer and hope that when we're older we can still retain all the spunk of our youth, and have some wisdom to boot!

Sassy Lite
I apologize that it's been more than a week since I posted. Sorry to leave you sassy-lovers hangin' but today I want to focus on some dynamic duos that can often be heard on easy listening stations. When I was younger it was my dad's favorite station, soft rock and classic hits, 107.9 WTPI. Kenny has proved that even if you're featured on the Time Life infomercial for their Classic Soft Rock CD collection you can still be sassy. Similarly, these power couples of easy listening do the same.
So maybe not all of you know the magnificence that is Go West, but this British pop duo of the late '80s and early '90s, was listed as my favorite band in my 9-year-old diary. I personally loved their cover of "What You Won't Do For Love" and later as a freshman in college, Tara and I bonded over "King of Wishful Thinking" featured on the Pretty Woman soundtrack! As you can see in the photo the pouts and the brows are working full force. Also the feathered hair doesn't hurt. Still, it bothers me that Peter Cox, right, is giving a much more earnest-bordering-on-angry sassy face while Richard Drummie looks slightly confused and cold. The confusion continues.
Then of course there is the more famous British pop duo of Wham!
They are one of the best examples of sassy hair ever! Though again here one half of the duo is doing twice the work. Sorry Andrew Ridgeley but please observe the sassy George in this glorious video, which thanks to Landon, I now know was the number one song the week I was born!
Though I love all these boys, in the world of power duos, and many friends will attest to this, nothing quite compares to this kind of sassy perfection.
"Well well you (ooh ooh ooh ooh) / You make my dreams come true (you you you you)"

Don’t You Mess Around With Me
Plainly stated, Pat Benatar is a fucking badass. One of the awesomest ladies of 80’s rock, she had it all—insane amounts of eyeshadow, sassy brows, and a perfectly pouty scowl.
With all due respect to my manbrow lover Peter Gallagher (and we all know how much I love that man), the brows don’t have to be like big manly sexy caterpillars to have the sass.
Everybody knows that both hands mussing up your hair means that you mean business.
And finally, some awesome pseudo-hooker sass, complete with the sassy tits shimmy. It’s a real thing, promise. Google it.
Side note: I think the hooker pal on Pat’s left has a broken arm. Sass in a cast, boys.

Turning it loose. Footloose.
I admit that I may be a bit biased, given my deep and everlasting love for K.Log, but really--this beautiful man has such enduring sass. He's so much more than just alright. Give yourself more credit, Ken.

Old Man Sass
Like MJ's classic sass, Alan Rickman like a fine wine and Christina Aguilera keeps gettin' better.
He is the ultimate combination of sassy and pensive.
An oldie but definitely a bestie.

MJ, We Still Love You
While it is a well-known fact that Michael Jackson is the King of Pop, it is a lesser-known fact that he is also the King of Sass. Please observe:
I rest my case.
PS: MJ also loves air quotes, and we all know that air quotes are an excellent form of sassery.
