Thank You for Being a Friend

Sorry it's been more than a month now. We've left you hanging, but thanks for sticking through. This past Saturday, the much-beloved Bea Arthur passed away. I was terribly upset! Thanks to Jillian though, I can pay some respect to her and be back on my sassy grind, because Bea truly was a classic.
She has some finely sculpted brows and that great sideways glance, plus I love how she uses her chin! Take 2!
Yep, the lady's got it! And nothing says sassy like a girl who can be a friend on and off-screen, and knows how to affirm you but tell it to you straight: Girl, fix your face!
She's a total gem and stunna, and she's fierce, stylish, and definitely sassy.
She will be greatly missed, but hopefully we can take from what she had to offer and hope that when we're older we can still retain all the spunk of our youth, and have some wisdom to boot!

Kick Your Game, Ladies

In order to complement Tara's Boy Band Sasstacular, I wanted to give my ladies some love. Back in my freshman year of college we had an early '90s party which I still have some great pictures from, c/o Chris.
That's Lauren and Dave as Milli Vanilli (With some sass, no?) in my freshman year room. I of course wanted to be Left-Eye (R.I.P.) and Tara wanted to be T-Boz...ok, we didn't have a Chilli, then again Chris was Kris Kross by himself, so we were working with limitations. Regardless, I have a love for TLC that goes back to my childhood, and I was super happy that Tara was into them just as much as I was if not more. I mean c'mon, these women were not only CrazySexyCool, but SASSY.
Much like another hot trio, Salt-n-Pepa.
Nothing says sassy like a bare midriff and a casual pose. Then again it doesn't hurt if you're a dolled-up bombshell, or four of them, like the ladies of En Vogue.
But the Brit gals give us some sass we can feel too, with the GIRL POWER-screaming Spice Girls.

Charley swears that if you focus on Posh in this 2 Become 1 video you will see the sass in full effect. Then again she's got the look when she's selling Pepsi too.
Those are some sassy fingers! Plus the ladies proved they could still be spicy and sassy, even after Geri left. Holler!
It's maybe not a Pat Benatar tits shimmy, but a firm ass grab and a thrust of the chest definitely is a show of some sass, though maybe here it's more out of desperation than proclaiming confidence. Still the Spice Girls were formative in allowing the sass of other tamer Brit girl groups like All Saints to gain (short-lived) fame.
In '90s fashion, these ladies show that sass comes in baggy carpenter jeans, but don't forget your crop top! These ladies know where it's at, wanna let you know, and do it with sass.

But to spread some love, Andy Samberg is always sporting a delicious pout, with a good amount of sass.
And sometimes it gets really emphatic.

The Sassy Face Wall: Grown ‘n Sexy Edition

So back in 2003, me and my amazing and lovable freshman roommate Tara started a “Sassy Face Wall” which was the wall between our rooms where we posted any pictures of people with sassy faces that we found in magazines, print ads, or photos of our friends.

Well, it’s been hard because I haven’t seen my amazing roommate in almost two years now (tear!), but we’ve been doin big things in and out of school, with Tara in lovely North Carolina and me in New York or traveling around, as I am at the moment.

Anyway, in an effort to bring the sassy faces we love to each other and your lives we now have The Sassy Face Wall: Grown ‘n Sexy (and technologically available) Edition.

So get ready world for the Sass!
